Volunteering with us is more than service—it’s relationship-building. You become part of a trusted circle that uplifts young women as they heal and prepare for the future. Whether you offer professional skills, life experience, or simply a listening ear, presence is transformative.
Lend your specialized skills to strengthen the infrastructure and impact of The Prep Place. We welcome volunteers with backgrounds in:
Academic Tutors:
Support residents one-on-one or in small groups with subjects like math, reading, science, or writing. Many of our girls are catching up on credits or preparing for GEDs, and your time can make a lasting impact on their academic confidence and progress.
College & Career Coaches:
Assist youth with college applications, scholarship essays, FAFSA completion, trade school research, and job search strategies. Your guidance can help demystify the path to post-secondary success and show them what’s possible.
Faith-Based Support Volunteers:
Offer support through guided prayer, devotional groups, or spiritual mentorship for residents who opt into these spaces. Volunteers should approach with cultural humility and a nurturing spirit, helping girls connect with their faith during healing.
Life Skills Mentors:
Teach essential everyday skills—like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, self-care routines, transportation planning, or healthy relationship building. These practical lessons lay the foundation for stability and self-agency.
Creative Arts & Wellness Instructors:
Lead classes or therapeutic sessions in music, dance, visual art, journaling, yoga, or mindfulness. These experiences help youth process trauma, build identity, and express themselves in healthy, meaningful ways.
Provide consistent support and guidance to our residents, helping them build confidence and navigate their academic and professional journeys.
Share your skills and expertise by leading workshops on topics like financial literacy, job readiness, creative arts, and wellness.
Help organize and run community events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns that support The Prep Place’s mission.
